Najibullah Zazi, the Afghan immigrant who planned to blow up the New York subway, entered a guilty plea and has begun providing information to authorities.

Zazi was apprehended in September, when law enforcement and government officials became aware of his plan. He was captured on video surveillance purchasing acetone and hydrogen peroxide from beauty supply shops.

Zazi, a 25-year-old Denver airport bus driver, said he was driven to terrorism because of the U.S. military's actions in Afghanistan, the New York Times reports.

Zazi attended high school in Flushing, Queens, but returned to Afghanistan to join the Taliban.
