Gang leader Michael Rigby escaped from a maximum-security prison last week by removing a toilet and sink from his cell wall and burrowing his way to freedom, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Rigby, who broke out Thursday night, heads a gang accused of opening fire at a birthday party last July in the community of 70,000 residents on the Osceola-Polk county line, according to court records.
