As a way to bring further awareness of its electric patrol vehicle to city and state policymakers with budget oversight, T3 Motion Inc. displayed its flagship T3 Series electric stand-up vehicles (ESV) for public and private sector leaders at a event in Beverly Hills in late July.
The clean-energy vehicles are used by the Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for patroling pedestrian-friendly areas. Among the dignitaries who stopped to learn about the vehicles were Leslie Dagel, Newport Beach Councilwoman; U.S. Rep. John Campbell's District Director Lou Penrose; and Hon. Finbar Hill, Honorary Consul of Ireland.
"We are very proud to offer first responders a purpose-built clean technology solution that can reduce costs while increasing efficiency," according to Ki Nam, T3 Motion's chief executive. "By reaching out to elected officials, we want to bring T3 Motion's dual message of cost-savings and increased effectiveness. Instead of sacrificing one to get the other, our T3 Series ESV can reduce the bottom line while increasing the efficiency and outreach abilities of any agency, large or small."
The event assembled a distinguished group of business, education and government leaders to address another high-tech topic: current and future trends in the social media revolution taking place on the Internet. It was sponsored by the Internet Marketing Association, Yahoo! and Infinite Communications.
The T3 Series ESV is a clean-energy vehicle and features a 9-inch-raised platform for visibility and a commanding presence, along with a zero-degree turning radius for a high level of agility, according to the company. It has a payload capacity of up to 450 pounds and is fitted with adjustable headlights as well as brake, running and emergency lights.
The vehicles are used in applications such as community policing, airports, security and asset protection, parking control, special events and emergency response.
