Mario Armando Vasquez was shot to death early Sunday morning along Garrity Boulevard in Nampa at the end of a pursuit that led Idaho State Police from west Boise to Nampa.
Four officers - two each from Nampa and ISP - stopped Vasquez's car in the 4100 block of Garrity, but investigators haven't released how many of those officers shot at Vasquez or how many bullets hit him. Caldwell police Capt. Frank Wyant said Vasquez got out of the car and pointed a shotgun at the officers, but he apparently did not fire the weapon.
This May, more than 7,500 service and working animals will receive free sight-saving eye exams in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. The annual ACVO/StokesRx National Service Animal Eye Exam event was created as a national platform to address eye health, which is critical for the safety of the animals and their handlers.
