A San Antonio man was arrested earlier this week and charged with impersonating a police officer and aggravated robbery.
The man reportedly walked up to two men standing outside of an apartment complex on Basse Road, flashed a badge, and demanded their wallets.
One of the victims says the fake cop kicked a cell phone out of his hand when he attempted to dial 911.
San Antonio police say the fake officer then bashed the man over the head with a flashlight and took his phone and wallet.
Real officers spotted the fake cop getting into an SUV and arrested him. The badge and the wallets were recovered at the scene.
