The U.S. Treasury does not make $1 million bills. But the note Alice Regina Pike, 35, used looked realistic, said Covington Police Chief Stacey Cotton. Instead of a president, the Statue of Liberty appeared on the face of the forged bill, police said.

Pike handed the bill to a store clerk to buy $1,675 worth of merchandise. The clerk recognized the bill as fake and called police. Pike was arrested and jailed on forgery charges.
