A new program from Bank of America called Neighborhood Champions is designed to allow police officers to more easily purchase houses in the communities where they work.

The program offers greater flexibility with credit scores and credit histories, with no income restrictions and requires little to no down payment.

Neighborhood Champions is open to full-time sworn law enforcement officers or employees of a law enforcement agency, as well as teachers, medical workers, and firefighters. The Police and Firefighter Flex program is geared toward law enforcement officers and has been enhanced since it was first introduced in 2000.
