NER Holds Regional Seminars on Stolen Equipment

To train police officers how to better track stolen equipment and vehicles, the first of several regional heavy equipment theft summits will be held June 21 in Jackson, Miss. The FBI-LEEDA and the National Equipment Register will sponsor the event.

To train police officers how to better track stolen equipment and vehicles, the first of several regional heavy equipment theft summits will be held June 21 in Jackson, Miss. The FBI-LEEDA and the National Equipment Register will sponsor the event.

The one-day seminar will provide law enforcement with classroom and hands-on training in recognizing and investigating stolen construction and agricultural equipment. It will also provide the opportunity to network with other law enforcement personnel and meet equipment owners and industry representatives from Mississippi and the surrounding states. New equipment security technologies will also be explained and demonstrated throughout the day.

Future summits will be held in California, Texas, and Florida.
