The publication from the Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) is intended to help educators and law enforcement officials develop and implement strategies to prevent and respond to the growing problem of bomb threats to the nation’s primary and secondary schools.

“Bomb Threats in Schools” reviews factors that increase the risk of such threats, assists readers with analyzing the local threat potential, and identifies successful responses that have been implemented by various school systems and law enforcement agencies throughout the country.
