A group of dogs training to become police K-9s in Sweden proved their mettle when they hunted down a robber who abandoned his car near their training compound.

According to police, an unidentified 42-year-old man robbed a bank and dumped his car in a nearby town, then took off running with his cash loot.

When police found the car, they sent dogs from the training compound in search of the driver. The man was successfully apprehended.

Police spokesman Jan Strannegard said of the suspect’s decision to leave his car near the K-9 compound, “He definitely picked the wrong place.”
