Registration for the annual Challenge in which two officer teams compete with handguns, rifles, and shotguns is ongoing. A total of 32 teams will be selected to compete from all the teams who sign up at www.511challenge.com.

Teams selected to compete are treated to an all-expense paid weekend trip to a five-star lodge on Montana’s Big Horn River. The three top-scoring teams will then be invited back to the lodge in August for the finals.

The first-place team will win $100,000 worth of gear, equipment, and apparel for their agency. The second-place team wins $50,000 worth of gear for their agency. And the third-place team wins $25,000 worth of gear for their agency. Last year’s finalists donated their winnings to agencies devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
