PA Gov. Schweiker Dedicates `Emergency Responder Plaza'

Pennsylvania Gov. Mark Schweiker officially dedicated "Emergency Responder Plaza" on Tuesday, March 26, at Third and North streets (between the State Museum and the Commonwealth Keystone Building) in Harrisburg.

Pennsylvania Gov. Mark Schweiker officially dedicated "Emergency Responder Plaza" on Tuesday, March 26, at Third and North streets (between the State Museum and the Commonwealth Keystone Building) in Harrisburg.

Gov. Schweiker, joined by other state leaders and members of Pennsylvania's emergency services community, unveiled a plaque during the dedication ceremony honoring emergency responders.

On Dec. 10, 2001, Gov. Schweiker signed into law House Bill 829 designating a section of the Capitol Complex in Harrisburg as "Emergency Responder Plaza," in honor of Pennsylvania's past and present law enforcement officials, firefighters, and emergency services personnel.
