This is so the norm today.. The public just sit back and doesn't do something about the violations. I to have been violated by the courts via triple jeopardy. I am suing not for money being the state is protected from violating us. If there is an attorney out here that has the nerve to step forward then do so. I have formed a LLC and working on recruiting attorney's to come work for me to litigate and try changing the laws that protect the people in law from their heinous crimes. What you see online is just a small part of what we have allowed our government to do unchecked. Our Government is not what it tries to tell us. Hitler did just what the U.S. government is doing right now.

melanie @ 12/22/2012 7:33 PM

I swear to god that nasty dike would have got a punch in the face and then may have had a reason to search me... this is absolutely disgusting. She not only uses the same gloves for both ladies but she also does an anal and then vaginal search!! WTF?!?!?! Didn't that nasty b**** ever hear of infections??? ANY amount of fecal matter transferred to the vagina can cause very nasty infection and then she proceeds to do the next girl with the same f****** glove... What a sick b****. They better win and show this disgusting department that they had absolutely no right at all. If theres any bit of hope for this country, they will win and own that department. They didn't even give them the decency of a private room to do this... nope just right on the highway for everyone to see. But she probably got off on it. Thugs with a badge, nothing more nothing less. AND They're SUPPOSED TO PROTECT AND SERVE ThE PEOPLE hAhA I am DISGUSTED!

How many officers would have liked their sister, wife or mother to experience this? Even if the officers and the department can articulate the legality of the search I don't think they can get past the roadside circus part. This violation of a citizen's rights is one where I'd like to see these lady's walk away with millions each!

CT LEO RET @ 12/24/2012 6:16 AM

It smells like someone smoked weed in that car. It must of been a lot for the officer to notice such a strong odor, that he felt he had P.C. to search the car and the 2 females. He didn't find anything because there was nothing to be found. There's no doubt in my mind as to why they're getting sued!!!!

Capt David LACO Retired @ 12/24/2012 7:10 AM

I think there may be a few openings with DPS. And I think if Gloria Allred gets into this these 2 girls have won the Texas lottery.

Jerry Kern @ 12/24/2012 7:34 AM

This is really unbelievable. Two females pulled over for littering and get a body cavity search roadside. These Texas Troopers really get carried away with their job. What has happened to our basic freedoms? If this kind of thing can happen to two citizens, what is next?

Former Lawman @ 12/24/2012 7:56 AM

In all of my 48 years of being a cop, I've never seen anything like this occur along the roadway! Thanks to the cops who are getting sued for using their car cams to "Preserve evidence" against themselves...what a bunch of idiots! Where was a supervisor to decide against this or are there such procedures in Texas? This incident is right up there with the Piedmont, Oklahoma incident where the mother of a 3-year old was cited for urinating in his front yard. What are cops really learning in their academy? What are they being taught? Too bad there isn't a Common Sense 101 class for these college kids. Get my drift?

Capt. America @ 12/24/2012 8:13 AM

There must be a serious trash problem, as evidenced by the giant Texas sized rat that runs across at about the 32 second mark in the video!

CCLEO @ 12/24/2012 8:15 AM

I have to agree with Melanie. Not only was grounds for the search on very thin ice, the way the search was conducted was deplorable. What were these two troopers thinking? What also surprised me was the way the two females seemed to accept this type of action by the police as being routine. They should have flat out refused to consent to the search.

William 322 @ 12/24/2012 8:23 AM

I will write later....after I vomit.....BIG $$$$$$ coming their way !

Dwayne Juedes @ 12/24/2012 8:25 AM

This is the kind of thing that creates hatred for cop's and gives them a bad name. I sincerely hope these two cops get fired and severly chastized publically by their department so the public realizes all cop's arent like these two jerk's D Juedes Retired LEO

Larry Thompson @ 12/24/2012 8:52 AM

When I read the article, I thought surely there was some sort of exaggeration on the part of the two ladies. Surely no agency would institute such measures as policy. Then I saw te video. I am without words. The troopers messed up on this one. Nuff said.

Top @ 12/24/2012 8:57 AM

where in TX did this happen?

Lawman2292 @ 12/24/2012 9:16 AM

You've gotta be friggin kidding me! Ok, I'm not sure what change of law may have occured in Texas, but here in the great state of Ohio....that ladies and gentlemen. the classic definition of a strip search. I had to watch the whole video because I thought maybe the civilians view was just a little twisted, to my surprise it wasn't. Ok first off he should never requested another officer to conduct an illegal search, and second the other officer should of had enough common sense to grab the first officer and say..."hey dumb ass, you're not getting me fired! If you want it bad enough, get a warrant." I don't like judging other officers but one would think that between the 2 of them, they would have enough common sense, training, and experience not to do something so foolish, and to do such a poor job off it. What was that halfass search about? Acts like this embarrass us all and make our job that much more difficult. Stay safe.

Capt. Crunch @ 12/24/2012 10:17 AM

These guys must be the PORN TROOPERS.

S Turnbow @ 12/24/2012 10:33 AM

What kind of thinking was going on with the DPS? The 2 women had plenty of time to rid anything standing in the dark for 10 minutes waiting to be searched, this was a senseless search. The female officer didn't change the latex glove from one women to the next. Hope they loose there job

Bud Chapman @ 12/24/2012 1:50 PM

Jesus Christ, what the hell were the officers thinking. Two Females obviously abused in this way/method. The lease they (the officers) could do was call for another car and have the two ladies follow them to the nearest PD Department and have a cavity search done by authorized medical personnel, not by another officer on the side of the road. Yeah not only would I sue the hell out of them, those two officers plus the director of public safety would be working as janitors outside of law enforcement! But, then again that's just me
if my wife or daughters were treated that way I'd serve the law suit myself!

Vixen63 @ 12/24/2012 1:59 PM

You have got to be kidding me! Who trained these officers? Any officer in their right mind no you don't conduct a cavity search on the side of the road!! Besides that, you need some dang good PC to even conduct a cavity search, and you "smelling" weed or because they are "acting weird" does not constitute enough PC for a cavity search, if that's the case then why not just put them in your car and take them to the station? Seriously, I am not about suing people, but in this situation, I'm sorry Texas needs a wake up call.

Carlo @ 12/24/2012 2:33 PM

Ladies and Gentlemen.....There is no class for common sense, marijuana at best is a misd. unless you have a ton of it, I feel it was an inappropriate search unless there was a deadly weapon involved, and unfortunately we learn from being sued for our mistakes and monetary damages......
This video would be a great way to show new recruits what not to do.....

Saunders , Robert @ 12/24/2012 6:32 PM

Officers their has got to be an better way to conduct your cursory searches !!! You've should have Dispatched an K-9 unit for the
Probable cause that's what it's their for use
Your resources Don't open your self up for
Liability it's not worth it through your actions
You have made all of our Jobs a little harder
When in dought please call the Watch Commander.

Jesse @ 12/24/2012 7:42 PM

If you know anything about law enforcement then you would know that they can sue the department but they will lose. They can only win by suing the officer themselves simply because the department has search and seizure policies that each officer must obide by and they are not liable simply because two officers fail to obide by them. Hate to say this but the department will throw these two under the bus in a heartbeat.

Mr. Sir @ 12/24/2012 11:21 PM

I could tell those ladies were telling the truth. Facial expressions, body signs, etc.... Also one pair glove used for two femals? How unprofessional.

T-boy @ 12/25/2012 1:02 AM

I have been a police officer for almost 30 years and have never seen anything like this! What the hell were they thinking is this sop if it is I will never let my wife drive thru Texas! The law suit is justified wow how much will remain to be seen how unsanitary was that.

Karl @ 12/25/2012 1:20 AM

Damn...that made my stomach churn. My wife is a retired LEO, and she always treated people with respect, even if she had to arrest them. I've always had tremendous respect for Police Officers, but I don't think I could have stood by and allowed something like this to happen. Wow! I'm in shock.

Steve @ 12/26/2012 6:59 AM

This is no doubt going to give law enforcement a black eye! I'd like to know if the female officer was following orders from a superior? If so, maybe she has an excuse, an out. Was the car searched first? Was anything found? Just the SMELL of marijuana doesn't always mean it's still there. I don't know how many times we've had a K-9 hit on a car only to find that there was no marijuana present but the headliner reeked of past marijuana usage. And if that was the case here and it was her boyfriend's car, no jury and most judges wouldn't convict anyway. The cavity search would have been the last thing used to locate illicit drugs if really thought to be present, but definitely not on the side of the road. Come on folks, LE has enough on it's plate as it is without adding these kinds of "bad judgement" scenarios to it! I'd say the department and officers are going to be fighting an uphill battle on this one.

Bill @ 12/26/2012 8:31 AM

I've been in law enforcement for a long time, and this incident appears to me to be a clear violation of the rights and freedoms our fellow law enforcement officers and military have died to protect. The stop was appropriate, a possible search of the car may have been appropriate based on the trooper smelling what he believed to be marijuana, but the cavity search for a suspected smell when nothing appears to have been found in the car is outrageous. If I was on the jury in the law suit, I know who would be paying, and it would be a question not of just what do the girls get, but how much do they want.

Ernie @ 12/26/2012 1:10 PM

I have been in law enforcement for 20 years in Texas might I add. All I can say is wow! I have never seen or heard of this type of road side search. Texas troopers are trained well and I just can't even believe what I just witnessed. Them girls sure wont need to go to the casino, they just hit the jack pot.

Erick E. Becker @ 12/27/2012 7:12 AM

I agree with Ernie! Jack Pot! These two numbskull troopers just cost the State of Texas some big money! If either of those girls were my family members I would be outraged! Interesting how the female trooper dawns gloves to protect herself as she runs her hand down the the pants of each girl yet, I did not see where she changed gloves after searching the first suspect, and according to her inserted her fingers up her "ass and pussy" and then proceeded to do the same thing on the second suspect without changing gloves. So much for caring about the transmission of disease or bacteria between these two suspects. I am a Texas Police Officer and I have major issues with this search!

Red888 @ 12/27/2012 7:29 PM

When did we start giving cavity searches based on an odor? So I guess I can start giving cavity searches to all the DUIs based on the alcohol odor? NOT!!! I understand asking them to do a vehicle search or even a pat down with the back of your hand but that is how far it should have gone. These officers violated these two women. They should be sued personally and not take it out on the Department for the two idots. Always, ALWAYS, ALWAYS change gloves each time you search a suspect, person or anyone. Elementary my dear watson. I was so disgusted watching this video. Trust me readers, not all of us officers are like that. We do serve and protect our citizens and keep them safe.

Marcia @ 1/2/2013 6:02 PM

I live in the Houston, Texas area and had a similar experience last year. It was bad enough to have an unnecessary search, but they took me to a busy grocery store parking lot to do it so all could see. The woman who did the search was so rough that she broke my skin, causing it to bleed, in two different places. It's just wrong. I hope these girls get whatever it is they are looking for...including an apology from the officer who violated them.

Prison Nurse @ 1/8/2013 9:23 AM

That would be considered criminal behavior even in prison, not to mention one hell of a civil complaint. Cannot wait to to see what happens to this case.
I have the second health concern that she went rectal to vaginal on each victim.

Lawman @ 1/25/2013 10:44 AM

I have been a Texas cop for 17 years. I have conducted HUNDREDS of searches. I have NEVER seen anything like this on the side of the road. Wow....just wow.

Mitch K @ 1/30/2013 8:56 AM

What a disgusting and disturbing video. Obviously these troopers are very sick individuals to have traumatized two regular women who were out for an enjoyable evening; clearly not druggies or criminals. The troopers should not only be fired but arrested for complete abuse of their authority. Take their f..king guns away; they're dangerous!!! It's a..holes like these two idiots that tarnish the reputations of good cops. Get rid of these dogs!!!!

D and D @ 2/7/2013 3:22 PM

I can not believe I am seeing this. This took place just a few mninutes away from my home.

Rj @ 2/24/2013 1:35 AM

Well i see a lot of people posting about this and saying how wrong it is and stuff like that. well here is the thing its completely illegal in all states to do a cavity search in public for one, 2 you can not do it on suspicion that they have drugs on them or with them, and 3 only doctors are able to do cavity searches in any state. The law clearly states this. The woman doing these and the other officer allowing her to do the cavity searches i guarentee are fired bc of this. its highly illegal and immoral

Riverhawk @ 3/24/2013 9:15 AM

When iwas a kid we were told if you need help go to a policeman. Now I recently witnessed a judge tell a youngster " get it through your head the cops are not your friends". How true

CharlieB @ 3/26/2013 4:34 PM

Without the video this would have never come to light and if alleged, it would have been denied and covered-up.

CharlieB @ 3/26/2013 4:34 PM

Without the video this would have never come to light and if alleged, it would have been denied and covered-up.

Mike @ 3/27/2013 5:04 PM

Real impressive bit investigative police work there. The ignorant bitch did a cavity search on both woman, on camera, with the same glove. Are you serious??? I hope those 2 woman, find every nook, cranny, and cavity to crawl in when they sue this department.
Acting suspicious? Who was acting strange? Guy wants 2 females searched because he "thinks" he smells Pot?
Bud, you're a no class freak. Hope they fire both of ya, and those 2 woman file charges as well as sue your rd neck asses.

T.L. @ 3/28/2013 5:32 AM

First and most noticable is that no one was stripped. No ONE. Feeling down the front and back is NOT a body cavity search and no one but the girls searched and the officer searching knows where the fingers actually went. The girls will say they were probed, the officer will say patted. The jury will decide. Now , that being said, let me say this, This was sooooo wrong. In my 30 years I've never even heard of this or witnessed it. A pat down on the outside would have been enough, but I saw no PC for even that. Littering? Give me a break. I agree with the termination but it should have been both officers. As for Lawman 2292, if that's your idea of a "strip search" where no clothes are taken off or moved so as to reveal any private part of the body, you don't know your job very well.

T.L. @ 3/28/2013 5:40 AM

By the way, have you ever noticed that when something like this happens all of a sudden everyone has a story to tell that is laced with profanity, full of threats and unsubstantiated theories, and boasts of "if that had been me, I'd would have (fill in the blank). On top of this, they try to impress you with what they know about the law, which is usually a hodge-podge of BS and outright lies. People ask what's wrong with this world. All they have to do is read some of the BS posted on here by alleged victim's of police errors and you can see.
Innocent till proven guilty, remember?

James @ 3/28/2013 5:48 AM

that dyke cop never even changed her gloves between suspects !!!!

Chief Mullane @ 3/28/2013 3:14 PM

This is the most horrible abuse of power I have seen on police video !! This female office not only should have been fired, but charged, tried and jailed. In addition she need mental health care.

Chief Rudd @ 3/28/2013 3:28 PM

Bulldozer @ 3/28/2013 3:53 PM

Not in a million years would I have submitted to such nonsense, this is what happens to sheep when they don't know their rights. I hope these girls win their case, and the female trooper at the very least is fired.

Jb @ 3/28/2013 5:42 PM

I support the officers for the search. There was a reasonable doubt for illegal substances and search was carried on. They probably threw the marijuana butt when they noticed the patrol car in rear view. Officers were both right too bad our corrupted attorneys will make mega bucks again

David @ 3/28/2013 11:15 PM

Wrong on so many levels.

Jim Retired LAPD @ 4/3/2013 9:35 AM

OMG are you kidding me! What type of training are they getting on that Department. oh wait they are obviously NOT getting any Training!

Ed @ 7/4/2013 7:24 PM

Jim, you're on the right trail. Would you look at this case differently if you knew the female officer was not trained regarding when a cavity search of another female is justified under Texas law? What if she was called to the scene by a senior officer specifically to do the cavity search, being told there was just cause by the other officer?
This has to be an embarrassment to the head of the Texas DPS. That's why they settled with the victim in mediation before the truth about poor trooper training came out in the press.

Texas is not friendly to women's rights, including the right of female DPS troopers to be properly trained before being asked to perform a cavity search.

Since the Texas DPS works for the governor of Texas, these cases should be a wake up call to Gov. Perry. Train you troopers. Don't blame them for your poor training.

Jack_coffey @ 11/21/2013 11:49 AM

Hell no!! I feel for those poor women. There was no need for that to go that far. This scares me because they are suppose to serve and protect and when we see things like this it makes me not even want to pull over for these son of a bitches. That's what I'm going to say when they asked why did you run? I didn't want you to finger my ass!!

what was that? @ 2/24/2015 12:11 PM

OH MY GOD!!! that happens in the USA and none talks about it??? and you guys are calling yourself the first world!!!?

Brian Newberry @ 6/23/2015 11:01 PM

Non-Cop here with a symantics question. The woman alleges "I had a finger in my a__, and a finger in my p__sy..." If that's true - then would that be a "Body Cavity Search" (whether accurate or not - this is a term frequently heard by us non-cops)?

More to my question - what would you call a search if cops had only gone through her pockets / under bra. I'm pretty sure that's more than a "Pat-Down".

But less than a cavity search. What do you call such an "Inbetween" search of a person?

Thank you for your reply! :-)
