It's great to offer any and all training but should we seperate training based on gender? Female Officers training along side males in every course I've participated in. Just a bit skeptical about training Ladies only. Especially in a tactical situation where we all need each other. I'd appreciate your views. Thankss, Be Safe

Chris, I understand your concern. However, I am not against this form of training at all. I am a female, LT, DT instructor, and have been on the job 15 years. I do not think this is the only training once should get, but giving this type of environment to women is a great way to train. The reality is women and men are different and I have been to training taught by men for men and granted I always learn something, but what more could I have taken from it had it been this type of training environment. Could I have left with more knowledge if I had learned form a female who has experience and learned from it. The truth is there are things that women cant do like men, and there are things we can do better. It will not hurt to assist women in reaching potential in all areas of law enforcement, especially when it come to tactical situations. Yet, I do agree with your thoughts that we need to integrate our training as we work as a team, but why not both? Just my thoughts.
