I OWN A TAURUS PT 1911 AND I'M QUITE HAPPY WITH AND ITS MY COMPETITON GUN IN THE CLASS I SHOOT. I CHANGED THE ROD AND SPRINGS IN IT CHUCKED THE FATORY MAGS AND WENT WITH WILSON MAGS. ONTHING I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE SINCE I OWNED IT IS THE SLIDE STOP AND THE LEFT SAFETY. OTHER THAN THAT IT RUNS LIKE A CHAMP. I EVEN CHNGED THE PAINT JOB ON MINE. GO TO GRIP REDUCTIONS.COM TO CHECK IT OUT. THESE GUYS DID A GOOD REVIEW ON THE WEAPON. SEEMS LIKE THEY REALLY LIKED IT. AND FOR THE MONEY THEY FEEL YOU CAN'T LOSE.

I have a PT 1911. Puchased it a couple of years ago from a local dealer at a gun show. It is a good shooting weapon, but recently I experienced a problem with the safety coming loose and falling off. I contacted Taurus Intl. and sent it off to the factory for repair. I got it back and within 10 minutes of getting out of the box the safety once again fell off. I called Taurus Intl. and explained my problem was not fixed. They did not give me much of an option on what to do. How good is their lifetime warranty? I have several other Taurus weapons and like them as they have performed very well. This 1911 is a problem I would like to have solved.
