Va. Teen Accidentally Hit By Patrol Car

I'm glad this appears to not be one of those instances where the family is immediately going to file a lawsuit. It was clearly a mistake and well taken care of.

And I like that Tony Hawk tweeted the video... I say that hoping he did it as a warning to other boarders to be cautious where you ride and always be vigilant to your surroundings.

This Officer should be charged for this violation just like anyone else. There is no excuse for running into this young man as well as going up on the curb. Then he should have gotten the boy medical attention for GP.

The kid was standing on the sidewalk and was hit from behind. The state boy should have called an amublance to check him out vs. "You OK...BYE!" He didn't even give the kid his card to call him if something later showed up as an injury.

This officer needs to be charged with hitting a pedestrian on the sidewalk....it was not "well taken care of" but it was a mistake. Hitting pedestrians with your car is a mistake, also criminal.
