I prefer thermal because it is not that dark in most situations. I know I will not be blinded by area lighting if I use thermal imaging. Early in my career; Range Masters explicitly (exclamation) showed me the blinding aspects of night vision and I never forgot. Where is it REALLY dark anyway?
