Police Release Footage of AZ SWAT Incident in Which Officer Shot, Suspect Killed

Arizona authorities have released footage of a Kingman, AZ, SWAT team serving a warrant on a local man for stolen firearm last Thursday. During the incident the suspect was killed and an officer was seriously wounded. More Here.

They could have not been more clear. I hope the officer that was hit will be okay. The suspect had the deer in the headlights look. Good job officers.

Prime example of how action beats reaction. They had several officers pointing weapons at the suspect who held a gun pointed at the ground. Suspect was still able to raise and fire his gun before officers were able to shoot him. We don't fight for a tie, we fight to win.
I'm not judging or criticizing the officers. I understand what they were doing and I understand the notion of trying to use the taser. Since the suspect hadn't raised the gun and was "just" standing there, the thought process is "he's not a threat yet, keep giving commands, try less lethal, etc." But the suspect was a deadly threat with the gun pointed at the floor. As we saw, he raised and fired before they could shoot. And even if you can beat him to the shot, that assumes you'll get instantaneous incapacitation. He can soak up bullets and still shoot you.
In the end, glad the officer is recovering.
