Sheriff Gualtieri, one suggestion to you, great press conference by the way, identify those news agencies that put out erroneous or slanted "news reports" and the next time you want to release news packets, don't include them. Don't give them any information! Just give it to those that accurately report the news. ALL news agencies hated to be out scooped. They will get the message. When they complain, tell them they are on probation and you will monitor their accuracy for future considerations. Keep up the good work.

Well said. The questions were ridiculous. All sheriffs and police chiefs need to speak to the media in this stern manner when faced with inappropriate questions.

GREAT response, for years the public and media wanted proof of law enforcement actions and now they have it and still they TRY and claim misconduct. With the reports, photos and now video THEY still try and twist the TRUTH by showing THEIR EDITED VERSION of the video which usually causes the PROBLEMS. Someone needs to draft a law that prohibits ANYONE from showing EDITED, MISLEADING OFFICIAL LAW ENFORCEMENT VIDEO. The public, media, and families needs to STOP playing the BLAME EVERYONE ELSE GAME AND START HELPING TO FIX THE PROBLEM AT THE BEGINNING BEFORE THEY BECOME PART OF A POLICE OR SECURITY VIDEO.

Great Job Sheriff!!
The only additional thing that needs to happen is to call out the media outlets that distribute the false information and sensationalize for the sole purpose of ratings.
Those deputies didn't tell the girls to commit the felonies, the deputies were simply doing their job.
Where are the parents to these kids that are committing these felonies? Answer that question and you will likely have the answer as to why these kids are quickly becoming career criminals.
