Local Police Chief Hailed as Hero for Killing Kansas Active Shooter

Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback on Friday said that Hesston Police Chief Doug Schroeder shot and killed Excel active shooter Cedric Ford. Schroeder was among the first on the scene and shot and killed Ford as he was being fired upon. More Here.

Wish my Chief was like that. You can only lead from the front, nicely done.

I echo the words of "ftrnr".....there are still a few departments out there that have a Chief like this. Although every Chief of Police should be actively involved in every aspect of their department no matter how big the department is. That is the only they can truly understand what is going on and what their men face. Some moved up the ranks but they seem to forget what it was like when they started out at the bottom.
