South Carolina Deputy Shoots Resident During Home Invasion Call

After receiving a desperate 911 call, Charleston County (S.C.) Sheriff's deputies were dispatched Thursday morning to a home in Hollywood, South Carolina, with a report of shots fired and a home invasion. During the call, one of the deputies shot and seriously wounded the resident who was holding a pistol. More Here.

I'm sure these officers perceived him as a threat and acted accordingly. Bottom line--When an officer orders you to drop your weapon...DO it!!!!! My prayers go out to the officers involved, and to the home owner. May he recover quickly.
