Sad that it had to end like this. Garcia came with an attitude that he was the boss and didn't have to listen to anyone, get any input from anyone and "ran the show". Well this is the result. He seems so very calm, in control and reasonable during this interview, as Im sure he did during the hiring process. But don't let that fool you, thats not his management style. "My way or highway", "shut up and sit down" was his style. Good riddance to him and I hope for a much better choice when the city hires the next chief. I worked there 3 decades and have nothing but respect for the department as a whole and the city of Phoenix. Both deserve better then Garcia.

His firing had nothing to do with Unions. He did this to himself by failing to follow a lawful order from a higher authority. There is no one to blame but himself. But it explains a lot about the man.
