It's obvious that his career is over in Ferguson. If he stays he will become a target in numerous ways. Every move will be watched. The ACLU will buy the house next to his.

He will become a distraction at calls where people may focus their anger at him.

The saying "The Truth Shall Set You Free" is not an option for this officer if a No Bill comes down. He would be better off finding another PD far away from Ferguson.

It will pass over. I just wish him well.

he should be given a partial pension and letters of reference from highest level of govt and Pad if he is resigning to protect his brethren as well as Department. If he has done nothing wrong the Union should ensure he is assisted with what he needs to have a whole life....

Not quitting. If and when he does, the animals of Ferguson have won. I believe he should return to work and help rid the community of further scum. And if they do not want him to, then retire him with full retirement at their cost. The only way he should leave is with a full retirement, they are saying he can't perform his job, then that is their fault. Either way, he is going to have to change his name and appearance, thanks to the so called justice system and the media, he is known throughout the nation and the world by face and name. And either way, he is giving up his life for doing what he was expected to do in the job, protect the citizens.
