Michigan Police Use PIT Maneuver to End Chase


Clinton County (Mich.) Police have released dash cam footage from a recent vehicle pursuit, which ended in a PIT maneuver. The suspect lead police on a 10-minute chase after fleeing from an officer attempting a traffic stop. Read Full Story Here.

Unfortunately there are still way too many LE agencies across the US that does not allow this maneuver to be used. What a shame as it definitely has its place in the LE community.

Looks like a perfectly executed manuever by a well qualified officer works. Good job, most likely protected property and safety of innocent by standers.

I would rather have my deputies pit someone than try to deploy stop sticks.

It not only saved the lives of the officers, but also the public that could have been killed if the pursuit had ended in a crash. Good job troopers.
