How sad, the civilian victim was a Christian young man who obviously never deserved this but he is now with his maker. The fallen Officer deserves all of our thanks and his family our prayers. The wounded officer and his family need our support and prayers, God be with them all. As far as the circumstances, if I understood this correctly the perp was a ex con convicted in 2010 assault in a PO and weapons violation in 2012 and HE WAS OUT of DOC and killed two victims and shot a third?? WTF??? Is Virginia that lib on felons? My God in AZ he would be in for 25 to life and NEVER would have ben out to kill these poor folks. Virginia should look in the mirror your legislature and or prosecutors and Judges killed these folks as much as the suspect. I hope they can sleep knowing that!

My heart goes out to the young man's family and to the families and friends of the fallen brother and to the wounded officer. We are facing much more challenges in law enforcement in this current age where thugs are being heralded it seems!!

Rest in peace officers and student. How can we not reinstate the death penalty when these criminals do no fear their punishment anymore. The suspect's family is now hurting as well knowing that their son will burn in hell forever.
