Wait for it...... Here it Comes!
"He didn't have to MURDER him!"
"He should have shot him in the leg/shot the knife out of his hand!"
"He should have backed off and called for help!"
"He didn't even try to talk with him!"
"Our poor baby was just starting to turn his life around"
And inevitably, the lawsuit.

Pufnstuf I don't get your poetry. Let's just let the kid stab the officer and maybe kill him. We protect and serve and I am sure that the officer tried to get him to drop the weapon. Knife wielding suspects cover 21 ft per 3 seconds so I am sure the officer did not have much of a choice. Now he has to live and survive that scene before him for a long time no one wants to take a life but if it means saving someone else getting stabbed either another officer or a civilian he did the right thing.

Terry, I don't think HRPufnstuf posted poetry. It is just a series of quotes usually associated with public and family comments after an incident such as this. It is just a line by line listing of the usual media story quotes. My heart goes out to the officer and officers family who had to use deadly force to stop this threat. My heart also goes out to the family of the young man who forced the officer to do this.

You are right David. Being involved in such an incident it is COMING. Not to mention the Grand Jury inquest. Not fun for anyone involved! God Bless the Officer and the Young mans family. Its an unfortunate aspect of our job to protect and serve!
