After sitting a few of these out w/out dashcams as an LEO, and after the death of more knowledgeable scientist/storm chasers i'm not sure why LEO's don't take shelter as well. If killed as were two of the storm chasers who were sucked out of their vehicle due to the intense negative pressure (driver was belted in and died in vehicle, they're just another victim! They should take cover, firehouse or wherever safe, so that they're able to help after storm passes. Storms can change direction quickly and often a second funnel sends an acompanying tornado down to the ground.
