Looking at the video, and maybe im wrong, but it looked like to me,he tried to run the cop over

Fast cop on feet saves his life running from Idiot SUV driver. He swerved way too far just to avoid the spike strips, he aimed for the officer. Shots should have been fired at the SUV.

Yepper....the knucklehead intentionally veered at the Officer with his Suv while fleeing from the convoy of flashing lights and sirens, endangering their lives and citizens! Glad none of us were injured!

I wish there were more criminals this stupid. That would make it soooooo much easier to keep these a**holes in prison. He just puts his foot in his mouth and doesn't realize what he says until he says it. Dumbass!!!!!

To Richard Jellicoe: Too many innocents around to shoot. Besides, that is not the answer to all situations! As far as the court appearance, the girl must have thought it was pretty funny. She has a big s**t-eating grin on camera.

This truely is a dangerous job. Keep these people in jail and it may be just a little less dangerous. Happy Thanksgiving! Something else for a hero officer to be thankful for.

What a looser! Cant believe this went to the court with the cop. The judge should've thrown this POS in jail not wase any time of the officer.

Oh Really? @ 11/16/2012 8:49 AM

I would check to see if they were American Citizens, as in born here, if not , deport them. I detest finger pointers! The video was quite clear that the officer did not "run" in front of this moron. He went toward the officer.. Send them up the River!

Glad he's safe. The driver knows what he did. We just all need to be thankful a life was not lost. Be safe all

Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity,,,,,,,

Best evidence is a video or a photo!! And this video speaks for it self!

Jim A @ 11/18/2012 12:46 PM

The suspect could have easily turned to the right slightly to avoid the spike strips. That is not what he did. He veered clear into the parking lane. We know who the real idiot is. Suspect # 1 and Suspect #2.

Nichole @ 11/19/2012 3:40 AM

Ugh, the reporter... "nearly missing the officer". He "nearly hit" the officer, you idiot.

Robocop @ 11/20/2012 10:50 AM

From the video it is obvious that the suspect did his very best to try and hit and kill this Officer. It is only because the Officer was very quick footed that he was not struck and badly injured or killed. This POS needs to go away for 20 yrs for what he did. He is lucky the Officer didn't shoot him. If I had been in that chase and saw what he did, I would have raced up beside him and shot him as he was at that time an exceptionally dangerous fleeing felon.

Many individuals posting comments on this site make me feel safe because of their professionalism. Many others are just plain scary! If you are that jaded, get out before your negative attitude turns to negative behavior and your actions cause the entire law enforcement community to suffer,
