What a bunch nice people, these scumbags are lucky more did not get hurt and arrested. They were completely out of control, destructive and did unknown amounts of damage to city property and peoples personal property. These citizens screwed up the entire celebration for the rest of us, they were taunting the Police Officers throwing glass bottles at them and anything else they could get their hands on. The people were resistive, argumentative and completely disobedient to the Police. They were trying to provoke them over and over without success. Good Job SFPD handling these crazy people and the situation with a high level of professionalism.

Non compliant individuals are often thrown to the ground, sprayed with oc or shot with taser probes. So, why does society tie the hands of l.e. personnel who have to deal with non compliant crowds, especially if they become violent/destructive? This country needs a federal law that allows police to use oc spray/grenades, rubber bullets, batons and firehoses on all people who fail to clear a public area after an order to leave is given.

I thank God I don't live in a city like that. These idiots feel they have the right to criticize officers for stopping the mess the people made and the police are paid to stop. If their family were needing help, would they be so quick to call the police names and use other vulgarities on them?

The trouble with young people is that they think this is a form entertainment and they could do not wrong.
