LAPD taking thug lesions from LASD

Rough arrest=police brutality. Or maybe he just likes to slap around women.

Whatever @ 8/30/2012 5:35 PM

I'm sure she was fully cooperative and did nothing wrong.

so a video that cuts and does not show what the woman did to provoke a takedown (and cuts right after she has her hands in the air towards the officer) has to be everything you need to know right?? @Richard: learn to spell before trying to bash. @Whirled: Thank you for being that person who believes everything they see on tv.

Okay, now lets hear the real story.....I bet if we saw an uncut version things would appear different.

Tim @ 8/30/2012 9:26 PM

I see the woman throwing her hands in the air as soon as she got out of her car in a threatening matter and it appears like she is yelling at the officers. I see a needed take down for a combative criminal. When cops say get on the ground, you get on the ground stupid or get forced on the ground.

Once again, a fuzzy, haphazard view that is clearly not in one sequence of film but at least three sections. No dash cam? No onlookers with cell 'phones? And I'll bet this video was released by the defense attorneys. Give us more info!!! Blues, Stay Safe.

Come on my brothers in blue. We have all pulled this type of lady over. Sure she cursed, sure she refused to put her hands behind her back when told, and sure she wanted to know who our supervisor was...but did we slam her to the ground? Twice? We didn't because we were trained better; because we were supervised better; because we took that oath to protect & serve, and not react because she pissed us off!

There is no way to make an assumption based on this video. We don't know what happened right before the take down. She could of made threats towards the officers that justified the take down. I'm going to side with the officers on this one and say they did nothing wrong.

Let's just base all of our comments on video.

Capt David Ret LASD @ 8/31/2012 11:34 AM

Poor videooo.....I couldn't see everything that happened...

Arnelle @ 8/31/2012 11:51 AM

Another issue is that through the years, LAPD has been training a lot of their officers in BJJ; Sensationalized by the MMA craze, many departments have gone this route. These two officers resulted back to their training. It's not just an officer issue but also the Training Command Staff's lack of due diligence in providing the adequate training to their officers. The *poop* is already starting to role uphill on this case with the transfer and demotion of the station Commander.

Let's get the whole story, NOT this EDITED video, before jumping to conclusions. There's video footage I've seen of the lady acting hostile and actively resisting. Don't rely on the news to give the full story. An officer simply wouldn't take a lady to the ground like that for NO REASON.

Why don't they show the entire tape, instead of just the parts that inflame. What are they hidding?

Paul Jones @ 9/4/2012 5:54 PM

did she beat her self at home before driving the car to show that her face hit asphalt and a 250 lb man used her body as a matress
