State denies benefits for cop's widow:

The widow of a Boston Police officer has been fighting the state for accidental death benefits for 13 years since her husband's death from Hepatitis C.

It is a tragedy, but not a surprise that this is happening. We give all kinds of money to undeserving people, but just like everything else, the debit is being paid by cops and their families. If it were a suspect, claiming Hep. C, from a cop, the State would have paid 10x over.
