I was struck by how patient the officers were, in the face of considerable insult and what appeared to be deliberate provocation.

This video should be shown to the parents of these boys, especially when a few of those parents have to bail their son out of jail or while attending court for this incident. These professional officers should be able to play this video the next time these boys, their parents or other family members need the help of law enforcement such as after a criminal breaks into their house, into their car, or assaults a family member.
Later in life, the future children of these boys should film their father when said children talk disrespectfully to their father, demonstrate a bad attitude, or refuse to do as the father tells them.
This video should be shown to the adjudicating official when one of these boys submits paperwork for CCW permit.
Thankfully the Internet will still exist in years to come so these potential 'should’s can become past tense. So that a college, potential boss, potential spouse, or background check reveals this video.
Well done officers in your patience, professionalism, and your attempt to educate the ignorant (I believe I saw a subtle hint of sense of humor in there as well). Well done.

Belligerent Kids disgust me; they won't make good cops of soldiers. But I bet they can spawn, sad...........

What a waste if tax payers money. Five to Six Officers and a Patrol SGT to harass two guys in front of their home with their trunk open. Depending on the state that you live in, you have no obligation to identify yourself to the police, unless you're under arrest. These people did the right thing, keep your cool, engage the officer in intelligent conversation and if need be...lawyer up.

As I watched this video I bagen to get angry at the ignorance of the smart ass, snot nosed kids. I have been a police officer for 20 years and have dealt with people like this over the years. It seems like in the recent past, there are more instances like this. Primarily due to our liberal courts and liberal communities. Good patience fellas.

kids with no jobs and have no prospect to better their lives. how pathetic. the ignorance and the disrespect is irritating and they live in the most powerful country on earth.

stephen mich " What a waste if tax payers money" IF? Oviously not LE, or well educated. This was a TRAFFIC STOP. That means the vehicle was moving on a public thoroughfare, not parked in the driveway. These little weasels were not "keeping your cool" but instead were mouthing off because they knew the Officers would not lower themselves to the level of afore mentioned weasels. Officer safety is #1. That Sgt was probably called by the first unit because of the big mouthed weasels. Cudos to the Officers.

No respect in any of these children. These officer's didn't have my luck. These type always seem to have warrants when I deal with them. <G>

everyone knows the first person these spoiled 20 yr old kids call when they get their a** kicked is the police....

Ti @ 12/2/2011 9:43 PM

What a pathetic bunch of immature children. Obviously, these self-important little brats were never taught how to behave themselves. They clearly live in a bubble in which the world revolves around them and their arrogant belief in their own superiority. They are nothing but useless little cowards talking smack because they know the police are to professional to give them the bitch slapping they so desperately need!

Smart asses with big mouths caused their own arrest. The cops used much restraint in dealing with these disrespectful punks. Who will they call when they need help, their friends or the public servants they disrespected. SO SAD!!

It's a shame how things have evolved for us cops, and not in a good way. In my father's day when he was on the job in the early 1960's if a kid opened up his mouth to an officer, you would kick the kid in the ass and take him home to mom and dad, where, with out question the dad would kick junior's ass again, because if the cop had a reason, then junior deserved another. If an adult was dumb enough to open his mouth, a cop would lump up his head right in front of God and anyone else walking by. The by-standers would say, "What an A/H for mouthing off to the cop. He sure got what he had coming." These days every little shithead and his brother has a mouth running and a video camera or cell phone camera running and can't wait to put the video on YouTube or the 6 'clock news, with a copy to his lawyer. People don't care what type of abuse the police have to endure or how they are provoked, as long as some cop gives some little shithead what he desperately deserves. These same people who are outraged by an officer doing a little “stick time” or Tasering someone, if asked what they would do in the same situation, invariably state, if they are honest, that they would have done much worse...
