@ sirk: Semper Occupare..!
People aren't fully aware of this movement because the mainstream media largely ignores it. Then there's Fox, who outright mock it and spread misinformation.
Google Occupy Police, Occupy Marines, Occupy Army, Occupy Navy for just a few examples of how these demonstrators represent every type of citizen.
In addition, google Oakland Cops Infiltrated OWS and pick any link, and you'll discover that the chief of the Oakland police department was caught on tape a few years back discussing infiltration techniques and potential outcomes. There's video evidence of undercover cops at these peaceful demonstrations.
Right-wing radicals also mingle in the crowd and start trouble, as was the instance in Atlanta: the guy with the AK47 admited his right-wing status but said he agreed with the protestors on many subjects. The mayor, of course, didn't care either way...he didn't like the idea of an AK47 at a protest in his city. Then there are the plants who actually throw bottles and rocks to incite a riot.

People, open your eyes...99% of the population are getting screwed by the greedy 1%, or as GW Bush likes to say, the Haves, who run Wall street and corrupt our politicians.
Presidents Eisenhower and Kennedy forewarned US of a secret society, small, insignificant and stupid. Well, they'd hijacked the republican party decades ago and the results are finally showing.
This Occupy movement is now world-wide. It's time has come.
Police officers: Please recognize and appreciate the fact that you are part of the 99%.
Please honor your oath to protect the Constitution of the United States, your community and the interity of your agency.
Thank you, officers, for your service.

August 29, 1970 march in East Los Angeles that drew 30,000 demonstrators. The best known historical fact of the Chicano Moratorium was the death of Salazar, known for his reporting on civil rights and police brutality. The official story is that Salazar was killed by a tear gas canister fired by a member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department into the Silver Dollar Café at the conclusion of the August 29 rally, leading some to claim that he had been targeted. While an inquest found that his death was a homicide, the deputy sheriff who fired the shell was not prosecuted. This sounds similar. I only hope it is not the same.
