Detroit Police Precinct Attack


The Detroit PD released a clip of narrated surveillance video from the Northwestern District station shooting. The clip shows a gunman striding into the station, and spraying volleys from a shotgun at surprised officers before being fatally wounded within inches of three of his victims. What a great job those officers did that day! Later on, it will be discovered why this person chose to do what he did. But for now, I'm grateful for the officers' response and that they will be able to go back to their families and work to continue to protect their community's citizens. It makes me think of the guys who would bitch at having to "work the desk" because they were not able to do real police work. How real was that event?
