OFF Duty in the Red Shirt Is a Moron and does not deserve to be a Police Officer. People have no respect for officers today because of the actions of that idiot who hides behind the protection of the shield.

A F**King DISGRACE !!!

Just me @ 6/24/2013 2:28 PM

Being a cop doesn't give u right to be a turd, Stewart should resign, he's the one who shoul not be a cop.

jaybee @ 6/24/2013 2:29 PM

Are you kidding me? Big boy has serious "entitlement" issues and should have been cited AT LEAST! I am in no way into citing fellow brother officers, but this dudes a punk!

Jason @ 6/24/2013 2:30 PM

Wow - You sir in the red shirt are a major disgrace to our Louisiana state police force. WOW - I hope for the benefit for the people, that you sir, are fired ASAP.

rick @ 6/24/2013 2:32 PM

Why on earth is the officer in his patrol car getting counseling? For protecting the public from that maniac. Don't they have a mutual aid agreement?

Jason @ 6/24/2013 2:33 PM

Officer Brian Harris

James @ 6/24/2013 2:33 PM

The off duty office was acting outrageous. Then when he said he didn't care about kids driving on the road, that did it for me, he would have been ticketed and a Supervisor would be in route.

Eddie you are 110% correct this is one large reason why people don't respect Police officers today. They view them as Elitist.

Federal Officer DCOP @ 6/24/2013 2:34 PM

I would hope someone could explain what I heard from the Douche in the Red shirt. He said, "You are out of your Jurisdiction". The officer in uniform said, "I know but I can Detain you".

I find this odd. Does the State of Louisiana still only allow officers in their area of juisdiction only authorized to make arrests in that jurisdiction or are they like most states and a Peace Officer on or off Duty has Arrest Authority 24 hours a day in their State just like California.

The Douche in the red shirt needs more than just a verbal reprimand. He is one of the reasons why police have a bad name.

Waylan @ 6/24/2013 2:36 PM

Verbal counseling...seriously? The driver of the truck (Corporal) would be in the unemployment line. Unbelievable!

[email protected] @ 6/24/2013 2:58 PM

Another badge heavy neanderthal disgracing the profession. Officer Stewart, all your points were dead on. This buffoon should not be a LEO or a crossing guard. I was always taught that you ID'd yourself when approached, not try to piss-off another Officer! There are enough nutjobs out there to o that. Blue Stay Safe.

darbyrides @ 6/24/2013 3:26 PM

IMHO the guy in the red shirt is a douche-bag. Saying "I don't care" when being confronted about driving recklessly, cutting off others, and speeding 80/45 proves he doesn't respect his position and is committing these acts under color of law simply because he expects preferential treatment. He should be retrained or fired.

SAR @ 6/24/2013 3:33 PM

Red shirt 'off duty' needs to remember that he is to obey the law & maintain professional conduct on and off duty. This shows his attitude of breaking the law when he is off duty regardless of where he is at. a shame he was just verbally counseled - he should have been fired.

Capt. Crunch @ 6/24/2013 3:46 PM

Ofcr. Harrison, was disrespectful to Ofcr. Stewart, and also broke the law, Ofcr. Harrison, should have been citied and his department notified. I hope Ofcr. Stewart, learned a lesson from this.

Ernie @ 6/24/2013 3:47 PM

The actions of the officer in uniform were right on, no matter on duty or off in Texas we have a duty to act! He should have made an arrest for reckless driving and called it a day! The punk in the truck with his lack of respect for law enforcement and or his fellow officers should be fired!!

Chief @ 6/24/2013 3:50 PM

uniform trumps plain clothes 24/7

Roger Lowe @ 6/24/2013 3:53 PM

I'm sorry, but I would not have that much patience as Officer Stewart.
I think I would have floored that A..Hole and then give him a warning.
That's what we did back in the day.

JM @ 6/24/2013 4:03 PM

Great video.

To the bozo who was in the red shirt thank you! Now I have something I can use in the police academy to show young recruits how NOT to act.

I guess mr. red shirt was asleep in the ethics class of the academy...and we wonder why the public thinks we are a bunch of jerks.

NY FEDLEO @ 6/24/2013 4:20 PM

In my 25+ years of wearing a badge, I was taught from day one that, "The uniform is always right". Mr. "Red Shirt" is an assclown and should be fired for "conduct unbecoming". I'm 110% sure had he just pulled over once he was "blue lighted" and IDd himself PROPERLY, this would have just been a lecture and a warning, no harm no foul. "Red Shirt" needs to be pushing a broom or pumpng gas at the local Circle K..........

Harry Adleman @ 6/24/2013 4:21 PM

So the (drunk? stoned? distracted?) idiot drives in a way that would have gotten a civilian arrested ten times over...and walks. He'll undoubtedly do it again and maybe next time he'll crime some innocent.

Zack Tanner @ 6/24/2013 4:23 PM

Off duty and disregard for the law, should be fired! Bottom line. If you can't follow the law, don't attempt to enforce it. I know I some times speed on accident. But working on an interstate system all day it get comfortable driving my POV the same model as my K9 Tahoe. But I look, slow down and realize that I'm breaking the law!

Dave @ 6/24/2013 4:30 PM

Wow... guy just didn't give a rats ass and used his police status as an excuse and tried to evoke invincibility due to it. I have not written another cop then again I have not encountered one this rude and disrespectful to me. On duty and uniform give the orders and command respect.

Chuck @ 6/24/2013 5:32 PM

Officer Harrison - you're a damned disgrace as a Law Enforcement Officer and a human being. It is badge-carrying douches like you that makes this profession harder than it should be. You should have been cited and arrested for multiple counts of reckless driving.

I hope you do your community a huge favor and quit the force.

LT @ 6/24/2013 5:32 PM

Disrespect the badge and the wearer of the badge will whip your a**. At least that's the way it was back in the day. Even today, I think I would have had to have a little prayer meeting with "Red shirt" and given him a lesson on respect. Good job "Uniform". You did the best you could have done during the time you were out there. How about next time call a supervisor before you stop this jerk and have him deal with this idiot. I would try and find out who "red shirts" supervisor is and ask my supervisor to have a word with him.

scpdblue @ 6/24/2013 6:01 PM

This is unacceptable conduct by a L.E.O.(pickup driver). He should have been fired.the other officer did the right thing. This is what makes L.E.O.'s look bad. This is down right shameful.

Dale @ 6/24/2013 6:13 PM

The DA's office should pick up wreckless driving charges on the jack-off in the pick up truck regardless of what the agency does. This is the kind of idiot that provokes on duty units into dangerous situations. The uniformed deputy did what any cop with code would do. The driver of the truck is either nuts or high. Either way he needed to be stopped. Jack-off lured the uniformed officer into a bad situation by escalating his bad driving more and more until the uniformed officer decided he needed to take action. This video will become a national hit in training classes all over the country. Mr. red shirt will be known as the worlds biggest law enforcement loser in academy classes everywhere.

John @ 6/24/2013 9:37 PM

I guess I'm all alone on this one, the officer in inform says he was trying to hit someone when the truck was passing another car.In
my veiw their both wrong the officer in inform needs to go to broadway and be actor I worked with over vealous officesr like that and they two gives officers a bad name . As far as the other officer
was pushing the other officers buttons for being so vealous.
I find it hard to believe that the officer in orange shirt really doesn't
give a shit about kids .I wouldn't want to work with either one of

john w bosnich @ 6/24/2013 11:29 PM

both of them need to stay away from buffets, do they have salad bars there? a little PT and they might have better attitudes

R. Hillsman, M.D @ 6/25/2013 1:12 AM

Amazed and agree this one WILL be used by academies nationwide! Maybe diff. in other parts of the U.S. but our dept.(s) for which i worked followed STATE law re. speeds even when responding code 3. That required < 20mph over posted speed unless sup./air unit etc not able to advise. That truck at that speed takes a LONG distance to stop and on a 2 lane roadway? Uniform should have let other 'jurisdiction' respond and @ least signed out a complaint vs. redshirt (w/ video no prob w/ conviction) the thread here shows most officers are embarrassed @ red shirt "Cpl" behavior. He would/should be busted down to P1 or fired....

Retireed PD @ 6/25/2013 5:21 AM

Correct me if I am wrong. This was the sequel to the movie "Dumb and Dumber"!

The off-duty cop should have been cuffed and stuffed!!!.

mark haskins @ 6/25/2013 7:54 AM

"Officer" Harris your conduct was criminal. I cannot believe the way you acted when your driving and attitude were all wrong. The officer who stopped you should be commended.

Bloomfield PD @ 6/25/2013 10:26 AM

I'm thinking one thing about Mr. Red shirt. FOOT PATROL!!! And if he doesn't like it, fire him.

Gasman @ 6/25/2013 1:25 PM

Officer Harris, I hope ur reading these comments. These comments r mostly from ur fellow brothers in LE. We all hav the same opinion of u. Ur an embarrassment to the rest of us that wear the badge. U knew damn well that marked unit was behind u and u still intentionally drove like an A-hole!! Total disrespect to a fellow cop. Ur ass should b fired!!

CAM @ 6/25/2013 5:56 PM

Unfortunately for the citizens of Baton Rouge, the PD can't find anymore officers like the uniform one. The dumb ass in the red shirt should be fired and the citizens should demand it. If he isn't fired it will cost the city someday with a huge lawsuit.

Angie @ 6/26/2013 7:03 AM

WOW...what a prick. It sounds like the uniform didn't know he was an officer and was doing his job. Plainclothes is lucky he didn't get a gun in his face.

Sean @ 6/27/2013 12:23 AM

Red Shirt should be fired and charged, what a disgrace to Law Enforcement

0311 @ 6/27/2013 4:38 AM

i work with cops all the time that act like this. he should have been arrested for reckless opp ECT........... if i would have done this woulda been shot dead or charged out the ass 1

bill @ 7/1/2013 7:39 PM

I invite Harris to come to my jurisdiction and act like this. He will have an opportunity to show his badge to his new cell mates. We should try to help each other, not make life anymore difficult than it already is.

Frank @ 7/6/2013 5:36 PM

I've been a PO for over 30 years, I always, always respect the other officer if I were to be stopped off duty. In fact I don't even tell them I am a PO until it's over. I figure it like this... If I made a mistake then it's on me... matter over... No need to pass the blame to the PO doing his job. The ma in the red shirt needs re-training at the very least. I respect any man doing this job and I give the respect as well...THATs THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!! bottom line.

1364 @ 7/18/2013 7:08 AM

Mr. Red shirt, you should have your job changed to shovel dog shit from the department K-9's. This is why we are so disrespected. And saying I don't care about kids on your roadways, you should never wear a badge again.
