VA Chief Fired After Charges Against State Senator Dropped in Vandalism of Confederate Statue
The former chief, Angela Greene, said she had been fired by the city’s interim manager. Greene, 46, joined the department in August 2016 and became chief in June 2019. She is African-American.

Video: Port Authority Commissioner Resigns After Confrontation with New Jersey Officers
A Democrat who raised money for Hillary Clinton, Turner was appointed to the Port Authority last year by former Gov. Chris Christie, as part of a pair of appointments that included former GOP state Sen. Kevin O'Toole. Turner was the pick of Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg (D-37), who was pushing for more women on the board.

Poll Finds Officers Pulling Back from Duties, Distrust Management and Political Leaders
A random survey of more than 500 law enforcement officers in the United States found that a significant portion have changed the way they police America’s communities as a result of the current national upheaval regarding police practices. Perhaps most troubling, less than one-third believe “my leadership will back a good cop who generally does right” if that cop is the focus of a media controversy.
