AE Light
AE Light’s new color filters enhance the company’s HID PowerLight applications. Pictured are six filters: an IR filter for covert operations; amber to help penetrate smoke, fog, and dust; red for traffic control and better night vision; blue for forensics; green for signaling, traffic control, and aiding night vision; and a diffused lens to widen the beam to approximately 65 degrees for close-in operations. All color filters are designed to fit the PL24/6, PL24/6 Shorty, and PL14 models.

Two new rail-mountable LED tactical lights from Streamlight, the TLR-1 and TLR-2, utilize a three-watt Luxeon LED to produce up to 80 lumens of blinding white beam, and a bright secondary halo of light while mounted on a firearm. The TLR-2 adds an integrated aiming laser. Both offer up to 2.5 hours of continuous runtime and an LED featuring a 20,000-hour lifetime.

Designed for effective room sweeps and able to cause momentary blindness in tactical situations, the M6 2390 LED 3W is engineered with a special integrated electronic regulation circuit enabling its 3-watt LED to blast 61 lumens for 4.5 hours.

Spectronic Corporation’s Maxima ML-3500 long-wave ultraviolet (UV) lamp puts out up to 10 times the normal UV output of conventional UV lamps. It clearly illuminates gasoline, kerosene, benzene, and other arson accelerants, as well as fluorescent wrappings of incendiary devices such as road flares. The new Maxima UV lamp is powerful enough to be used in direct sunlight and comes with a rechargeable battery that operates the unit for up to two hours.
