The American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania filed a federal civil-rights lawsuit this morning on behalf of 25 people they claim were "beaten and pepper-sprayed" by officers during G-20 Summit demonstrations a year ago.
At a news conference, ACLU officials said officers with the Pittsburgh Police Department used excessive force while making arrests, needlessly used pepper spray on people and shot them with non-lethal rounds filled with pepper spray, reports the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
