Nelson Morales, 28, and Kevin Santos, 32, received 25 years to life Thursday for the death of NYPD Det. Peter Figoski. Crew member Lamont Pride shot and killed Figoski as the robbery crew attempted to flee an apartment early Dec. 12, 2011. Pride received 45 years to life during his sentencing in February.

Mary Anne Figoski, the 22-year detective's mother, called Morales, the crew's ringleader, and Santos "predatory opportunists" that society needs to be protected from, reports the New York Daily News.
