Delaware State Police Start Maritime Unit with 2 Vessels

The Delaware State Police have established a maritime unit with two new vessels to patrol the state's 100 miles of waterways. The state police are using a $1.6 million federal grant for port security to fund the effort, which employs three full-time troopers.

FBI: Hate Crimes Remained Steady In 2010

The number of reported hate crimes in the United States remained steady in 2010, according to the FBI's annual hate-crime report. There were 6,628 hate crime incidents reported last year, while 6,604 were reported in 2009, the FBI announced Monday.
