Philly Cop Struck By Partner's Bullet

A Philadelphia Police officer was wounded late Tuesday by a ricochet from a shotgun round fired by his partner during a vehicle stop. Jose Roman, a 44-year-old SWAT officer, had the wind knocked out of him when he was hit, but recovered and handcuffed a suspect.

The Jupiter (Fla.) Police officer killed Sunday while working a presidential motorcade crossed several lanes on Interstate 95 and pulled in front of a pickup truck in an attempt to block traffic.

Ohio City Hires First Female Cop

The Struthers (Ohio) Police Department welcomed its first female officer, when Emma Brenoel, 22, was sworn in during a ceremony earlier this month. Brenoel becomes the first full-time female officer in the 110-year history of the force.
