Beretta Introduces 9mm Nano Pocket Pistol

The BU-9 Nano arrives in late October with a serial number attached to an inner steel chassis rather than the polymer frame. As a result, owners of the Nano will be able to purchase aftermarket frames in the future without needing an FFL transfer.

Three Fla. Cops Pried from Cruiser Wreck

Two of the three Boynton Beach (Fla.) Police officers admitted to Delray Medical Center, after their cruiser became impaled on a concrete pole are in stable condition. The third was treated and released.

Calif. Agency Equips Fleet with Wi-Fi Capability

All police vehicles are now equipped with a Firetide HotPort 7000 indoor mesh node that transmits data directly to the police station. Data about each vehicle is also captured and transmitted along with the video, providing the department with greater insight into every vehicle.

S.C. Cop who Fatally Shot Former Mayor Laid Off

A Cottageville (S.C.) Police officer under investigation for fatally shooting the town's former mayor has been laid off. Officer Randall Price has been let go due to "budget constraints," according to the city.

A New York City Police recruit collapsed after completing a training run with his academy class. Officer Sherman Adams, 28, died on Monday. Officer Adams had served as a corrections officer for four years.

Calif. Violent Crime Falls To Lowest In 40 Years

The California Department of Justice's "Crime in California" shows that violent crime has fallen for the fourth year in a row. Overall, the violent crime rate decreased 6.9 percent, reaching its lowest level since 1968, and homicide and forcible rape rates are the lowest since 1966.
