LAPD Chief to be Deposed in Ezell Ford Shooting Lawsuit

Police Chief Charlie Beck will have to take questions, in a formal deposition, from the attorney for the family of 25-year-old Ezell Ford, who was killed by police in August. Ford's parents are suing the city, the department and the officers involved. The trial is set for November.

New Orleans Officer Writes Letter to Daughter's Killer Saying She Will Pray for Him

Ruffins' daughter Milan Arriola was found Friday evening inside a Chevrolet Camaro at North Broad Street and St. Bernard Avenue. The NOPD said Arriola, seated in the passenger side of the vehicle, was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to a hospital, but died from her injuries.
