CA Governor Vetoes Bill Proposed in Wake of Officer's Shooting Death

California Gov. Jerry Brown over the weekend vetoed a bill written in response to the killing of Whittier police Officer Keith Boyer, saying it was too reminiscent of the state's abandoned three-strikes law.

FL Deputy Shot Himself, Ex with Service Weapon While On Duty

A Palm Beach County, FL, sheriff’s deputy who shot his ex-girlfriend, then fatally shot himself Thursday, was on duty and used his service weapon, Boynton Beach police confirmed Monday.
