No one keeps complete nationwide statistics on law enforcement training accidents, but they are a significant cause of death and serious injury in the line of duty. Most training accidents share one common trait: They could have been prevented.

Fox's 'Cops' Marks 25 Years on the Beat  

This granddaddy of all police reality shows debuted on what was then a struggling Fox TV network back in 1989. Now in its 25th season "Cops" is one of the most popular law enforcement shows with both the public and with actual law enforcement officers.

The Next Generation Firing Range  

Created using Meggitt Training Systems’ products and design assistance, the Suwanee (Ga.) PD training center is complete with a four-lane indoor shooting range, an academic classroom, and a training room that also serves as a virtual firearms trainer.

Who Are the Oath Keepers?  

After witnessing what he saw as an unconstitutional outrage in the wake of Katrina, a constitutional law scholar founded the Oath Keepers, an organization for peace officers and soldiers who adhere strictly to the letter of the Constitution and swear not to obey any orders that they believe to be unconstitutional.

Search Warrant Detentions  

When you make a search of premises under authority of a search warrant, it is generally permissible to detain the occupants pending completion of the search. The authority to do so, and the rationale supporting detention, were limited by a 2013 decision.
