Each year the manufacturers and distributors of tactical police products display their latest and greatest wares at POLICE-TREXPO. The following is a quick look at some of the coolest items exhibited and demonstrated at POLICE-TREXPO 2011.

Noted author and investigative journalist Steven Emerson began his August 19 keynote presentation at POLICE-TREXPO East in Chantilly, Va., by explaining that he was going to talk about two types of jihad: the violent type and what he calls the "stealth jihad."

A lot has changed since 9/11. But one thing remains the same: There are a lot of bad people out there who want to make us bleed. The United States is still a very soft and juicy target.

POLICE-TREXPO East started today in Chantilly, Va., and one of the highlights was the class on the Mumbai massacre taught by Don Alwes. Alwes is a lead instructor for the National Tactical Officers Association who specializes in active shooters and homeland security. Police Magazine's Editor David Griffith interviewed Alwes about active shooter response tactics and what the bad guys are doing to counter.
