Salt Lake City and Birmingham PDs Select Evidence.com for Digital Asset Management
TASER International announced today that the Salt Lake City Police Department and the Birmingham Police Department have selected Evidence.com to securely store and manage all of the digital evidence from their AXON body cameras and other digital devices. Both departments secured a five-year subscription with Evidence.com in the third quarter of 2014.

Springfield Armory XD(M) 3.8 Pistols
As you probably have already noticed, the XD(m) 3.8 and the XD(m) 3.8 Compact get their names from their 3.8 inch-barrel, as opposed to the four-inch barrel standard on the original XD Pistols. The Compact designation is assigned to the 3.8 Pistol, which has the short "Compact/Sub Compact" style grip.

At first glance, Springfield Armory's XD(m)-9 5.25 pistol may be viewed as a pistol for competitive shooters. The company did indeed seek design input from champion shooter Rob Leatham. However, it's a viable option for police service. It's excellent ergonomics, low recoil, and high cartridge capacity would be especially useful in tactical operations.
