Salt Lake City and Birmingham PDs Select Evidence.com for Digital Asset Management
TASER International announced today that the Salt Lake City Police Department and the Birmingham Police Department have selected Evidence.com to securely store and manage all of the digital evidence from their AXON body cameras and other digital devices. Both departments secured a five-year subscription with Evidence.com in the third quarter of 2014.

K-9 History: Riverside (Calif.) PD
Riverside (Calif.) Police Officer Loren Mitchell became the first officer in his agency to work with a police dog when he was partnered up with "PAL" in 1958. Chief Sergio Diaz and the City Council honored the now-retired Officer Mitchell for this historical achievement at a City Hall ceremony. The photo gallery includes an apprehension the pair made during a 1950s traffic stop.

32 agencies Purchase Spillman, 68 Expand Systems in First Quarter of 2016
Thirty-two public safety and private security agencies chose Spillman Technologies as their new software vendor during the first quarter of 2016, bringing Spillman’s total customer count to nearly 1,700 agencies across the United States. In addition to these new agencies, 68 existing Spillman customers expanded their current systems by purchasing additional software modules.

The Scottsdale (Ariz.) PD's Rapid Response Team was established with three squads of officers, plus supervisors and logistics support. Now it totals 40 officers, all trained in the latest crowd control techniques developed by FEMA's Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, Ala.

The threats were issued following two large drug busts by off-duty officers with the department. Nogales Chief Jeffrey Kirkham learned about the threats via a criminal informant in Mexico who told the agency about a list of officers held by the cartel.
