Tyrone Smith, 32, was found unresponsive in the rear seat of a Sacramento PD cruiser, after being caught after a foot pursuit late Saturday night. Law enforcement officers had been searching for Smith for about seven hours, after he critically wounded a Twin Rivers Police officer.

Protests of Sacramento Police Shooting Shut Down Freeway, Block NBA Arena
The protests are over the shooting death of Stephon Clark, 22, a suspect in a string of vehicle break-ins. Clark was killed at the end of a foot pursuit involving two Sacramento police officers. Sacramento Officers Rescue Infant After 56-Hour Standoff
On Friday at 7 p.m., the tactical team used explosives to open a side wall of the apartment where 26-year-old Anthony Alvarez was holding his cousin's son. Officers then used improved sight lines to shoot Alvarez and safely rescue the infant.
