The big trend at this year's SHOT Show was flashlights so bright that they can probably take X-rays. Police staff members accidentally got blasted a few times with these 700-lumen light sabers, and they are more less-lethal weapons than illumination tools.

Remington's innovative R12P Tactical shotgun, which will be available later this year, is the law enforcement version of its Versa Max shotgun. The self-regulating, dual-pistol VersaPort gas system allows the semi-auto shotgun to handle any length of shell you can pull from your go bag. Remington has begun offering initial builds of the R12P to law enforcement customers, and will release the gun in the fourth quarter. The gun was introduced at SHOT Show in January.
